Track 4 — Build & monetise 构建与变现 · M18 · 30 min · Live today

Ten ways a twin is monetised

Monetisation is broader than selling: cost avoided internally, one-off build fees, subscriptions, usage-based pricing and marketplace bundles. Some models are live today; in-app paid commerce is planned (W5).

After this module you can…

  • Choose the right monetisation model for a given twin and buyer.
  • Price a twin using hours saved rather than tokens consumed.
  • State honestly which monetisation paths are not live yet.

Key points

  • Cost avoided is monetisation too — and it is the only model that is fully live today.
  • Price against the buyer's hourly cost, never against your token bill.
  • Governance evidence is the upsell: receipts are what a client will pay a premium for.
  • Until in-app commerce ships, invoice outside the platform and keep the receipt as proof of delivery.

Hands-on exercise: Price one twin

  1. Take one template and name its buyer in one sentence.
  2. Pick a monetisation model and write the price with the reason.
  3. Write the one sentence of honest scope: what it will not do.

Evidence of success: A one-paragraph offer a stranger could say yes to.

Knowledge check

Getting it wrong is fine — the explanation tells you why.

1. Which monetisation model is fully available today?

2. What should a price be anchored to?
